Open Dutch Championships Formula 18 2010

In the weekend of September 4 and 5 the Noordwijk coast sailing club ZVN will host the 2010 Open Dutch Championships for the Formula 18 Class. After some years joining the Delta Lloyd Dutch Open on the IJsselmeer, this strongest catamaran class returns to the North Sea. And where else than in Noordwijk, where the last F18 DC on the coast of Holland was held in 2006. On this page we will regularly update you on all relevant information regarding this high class event.

The notice of race have been approved by the Dutch national authority Watersportverbond. In draft we have the Sailing Instructions F18 online. The program will look like this:
fr 3 sept. 19.00 to 21.00 hr: transportation and registration
sa 4 sept. 8.00 to 10.30 hr: transportation and registration
sa 4 sept. 11.00 hr: opening and briefing
sa 4 sept. 12.00 hr: first start of 4 races
On the beach will take care of animation program, live reports of the race and music. At 18.00 hr a captains dinner will be served for all sailors (extra dinner cheques à EUR 12,50 till 11.30 hr available). In the evening there is music in the party tent.

su 5 sept. 10.30 hr: first start of 3 races
su 5 sept. a.s.a.p. price giving, transportation of boats after 18.00 hr
Also on Sunday we will try to make it worth your while on the beach.

The entry form is available online. Entry fee is EUR 70,-. Membership of the Formule 18 Klasse Associatie or a national IF18 approved class organization is mandatory.

In the week before the ONK, the ZVN hosts the Noordwijk Open. On both sa. August 28th and su. August 29th, races will be sailed from the club that are open to competitors of the ONK F18. Participation is free so be wise and bring your boat directly from the NAM Rem Race from Zandvoort to Noordwijk!
